A beautiful mismatched pair of pear-cut sapphires from small-scale mining in Madagascar.
The rough was purchased at the mine as unheated, but it has not yet been submitted to a laboratory for verification. Over 90% of these rough stones are unheated, although miners occasionally heat the rough directly at the mine. For this reason, we currently offer this sapphire as heated (even though it is very likely unheated) until the treatment status is verified by our laboratory.
We will update the treatment status as soon as it has been confirmed by the lab.
